My family heritage is one I appreciate more and more every day forward in my life. I can remember talking about the history of the Cree tribe with Uncle Sid and he told me the scientists were dead wrong in asserting the Clovis arrow flowing migration from Asia to North America. He said adamantly the peoples of Asia originally came from North America. I have no basis in archaeology to say whether he was correct or not, but the gravitas of the man was legendary as was his heart and integrity. He said to me look at the baby of a Chinese or Japanese, and you will see the baby of a Cree. There is no difference they are the same!
He was a magic wielding devil with smile and a fiddle in his hands, I suspect archaeologists may one day prove old Uncle Sid right.
What I can tell you with some certainty is that in the FukUshima crisis I see the same amazing dignity in the Japanese culture that carried our Cree people through the cultural tsunami that swept over North America these past 350 years. My heart goes out to them in seeing their non dramatic dignified suffering today from the savage 9.0 earth quake and tsunami. Seeing this tore at my heart rendering me to tears and from my mega plant building days, I immediately sent Tepco an email offering resources to organize a swat team of the best electricians, pipe fitters, welders, riggers, engineers, and plant safety experts that Canada has, to fight with their Kamikaze FukUshima50 to tame this out of control nuclear monster.
No reply came from the Tepco people and if I had the resources myself, I would not wait for a reply from the Tepco Corporate people and would have my friend Joe McBryon from Buffalo Airways in Yellowknife NWT fly my hand picked crew to land on the beach FukUshima.
It would be an honour to fight even to death with such a courageous honourable people. Creator I understand that is often the suffering of the most humble and of grace, that are used to teach the rest of us what should be obvious. I ask that in this instance you look out for our Japanese elders brothers and sisters and see them to safety.
