We’ve recently had over 3.5 ft of snow in Hope BC. Most of
this material was pushed into piles and now melting with the warmer
temperatures. In my 64 years I have never seen snow like this before. The Inuit
have over 50 terms for various snows and a new one is now needed to describe
this newly engineered snow.
In all my years I have never seen a pile of snow
evaporate. Usually a pile of snow creates a pool of water beside it but this
stuff does not do that. It simply disappears with no standing water left
behind. What are we going to call this snow?
